Introducing the 3rd iteration of the Striker, a kinetic self-defense melee weapon. This iteration is slimmed down even further, allowing you to slip it in your pocket or any tight space.
There are two versions you can print, one with a clip and one without. Print at 20% infill density minimum.

My heavier springs didn't do anything to help the issue. Maybe modifying the striker so it has 90° corners rather than the sloped ones in the inside pocket would help?

Sorry, but most of it is BS or, yes, "fudd lore" :) The main purpose (much less "its only job") of a locking block isn't "keeping the slide from rocketing into your face". If nothing else, you can reload the fuse assemblies from milsurp stores with just two drill bits. Clamp the fuse assembly in a vice, use the striker dimple as a punch mark and drill all the way through with a 9/64 drill bit, this will allow you to insert a green visco fuse through the assembly.
