there are 2 models for two type of drills one in 3mm and one in 4mm. the idea here is that this small piece can help with keeping the drill at the correct place.
just slide the bolt and this piece all the way forward and every thing should line up now. but do keep in mind that you did not flip the template upside down. it should be clear how it should go by looking at the image.
