This is a simple Nielsen addition to my air cylinder suppressor design.
This project started out by modifying the petal suppressor, made by my friend AngryBonobo, to work on my air cylinders.
After doing a series of tests with the printed petal end cap, I decided to use the idea of an offset mount to add a Nielsen, and by proxy, pistol support to my cylinders.
It uses a stacked sheet metal outer design to offset the air cylinder and a barrel extension piston allowing you to use it without having to modify the air cylinder itself aside from the exit hole.
All the sections can be ordered from sendcutsend. the quantity, thickness, and material type are all in the dxf file name for each model. everyone's more than welcome to try having the whole thing machined or attempting to make printed versions.
But the only printed part in this release is a threading jig for the piston end, everything else is designed and tested with metal in mind.
I suggest keeping the air cylinder length to under a 6 inch stroke to keep it reasonable to have on the end of a pistol.
