A 3D Printable suppressor designed to mimic the CGS Heckate functionality. Designed for 300 Blackout. Has been tested with sub-sonic rounds without issue but further beta testing is needed. Sound with subs is equivalent to a single loud clap of your hands. Requires a printer with 231mm of print height. After printing in PLA+ (No supports needed. The design features built in printing support fins and a skirt.) The prototype was wrapped with Medical Cast Wrapping Tape "3M Scotchcast" and then the hardened cast material was carefully drilled at either end so as to not drill into the print material and weaken the design. It has not been tested with Fiberglass(or CF) + epoxy because that is overkill. The failure is predicted to be internally with baffles breaking. Not the tube itself rupturing. but further testing would be welcomed.
Note: The prototype was wrapped tightly from front to back (tip to tip) first followed by wraps around the tube. This prioritized holding the layer lines together, however it was challenging to get it completed in time. Especially because the tip-to-tip wrapping is best done with tape that has been split in half and is only 1" wide. It is extremely messy and challenging to get the tape cut in half width wise and get the tube wrapped before the tape starts to harden (~3 or 4 minutes in a humid environment). It is a large tube when completed measuring 58mm (2-1/4 inches) in diameter and 231mm (9-1/16 inches) in length
