Man when my grandpa passed away I found a Thompson in his attic and at the time I wasn’t into guns. Did the worst thing imaginable and turned it over to the sheriff with 11 other firearms.
Kept his trophy Walther P38 though

The Luger P08 is a bit over engineered and requires a lot of machining of parts that probably need to be metal. Maybe shift your aim to the visually similar Walther P38 that they switched to in 1938.
