The Handbrake is a grip for an alternative ergonomic principle utilizing a downscaled AR15 platform firearm as a point shooting weapon allowing for better recoil control. This project was originally inspired by the now defunct KAC Chainsaw, a derivative of the Stoner 63 platform modified to be held like a chainsaw.
This grip requires using a 'shorty' or 'entry' style AR15 buffer tube, commonly seen on ACE and Entry stocks for AR15s. This tube is carbine lenth but has the threaded portion in the rear the same as a standard rifle buffer. The buffer tube will be used as the grip and textured tape is reccomended.
The only thing standing between the chainsaw and practicality is a more effective method of aiming the firearm at medium to long ranges. It handles rather well at close ranges using instinctive point shooting and tension on a 3pt sling.
