The 9mm Deep series of cartridges is a family of cartridges with the same case
dimensions as 9mm Luger and intended to be fired from guns chambered in 9mm Luger.
9mm Deep is a 3D printed, DIY cartridge. If you intend to
build this cartridge, you assume all risks and responsibility for your own safety. DIY
ammunition inherently has higher safety risks than factory, or standard reload
ammunition. This document serves as a guide for the Design Philosophy of the 9mm Deep
cartridge to document the principles behind why it is able to function for others who
look to copy this design for other standard calibers, as well as documentation of the
building process and documented failure modes of this cartridge and why they occurred.
