INTRODUCTION
=========================================

I'm not using AI to write this one, I want to talk to you directly for this build... because you're clearly not like other "builders".... you're printing a gun for a $650 MAC upper, so I'm taking a bit more care with this one so you don't go wasting your time.

This is the Knight-L, an iteration of my previously released "Knight" MAC-11, based on the STEN platform.
Why is this one a separate release? Well if you're here, you probably already know this build is specifically for the Lage Manufacturing MAX-11S MK2. (PLEASE BEWARE THE SMALLER LENGTH UPPERS WILL NOT WORK WITH THIS DESIGN)
This is not a cheap upper. This is not a mass-produced normal upper. This is, imho, the most beautiful (aesthetically) MAC-11 upper to ever be made.

All that being said, I want to emphasize that while this printed design may satisfy all "needs" for building and shooting - I DO NOT believe that this styling and design come even remotely close to the masterful artistry that went into this upper.
At some point, I will be releasing a revision to this design that actually matches to look, feel and general aesthetic that your beautiful Lage upper deserves.
I'm not CAD Jesus, despite what social media followers may insist - and I was only able (willing?) to reverse engineer and CAD the upper to a certain point.
If you're looking to use my CAD to make your own version of things, you have my permission to FULLY trust the printed dimensions to work WONDERFULLY with your upper.
That is also to say, the reference CAD for the upper IS NOT to be treated as gospel. This is almost a "BLOCK" design of sorts, but shootable / enjoyable.

Beware that going into this project you'll be buying PY2A reinforcements (two pieces) and only using one of them. The price for them (at the time of writing) is an affordable $35, but I like notifying folks of planned waste.

The printable BULK mag is, unfortunately, the result of several changes needing to be made to Danny Meatball's original CAD. (the meatball is wonderful, you should love and respect him always)
I'm unsure if this is due to my steel STEN mag being different than his or that of his testers, or just the Lage being wonky - but please don't expect normal DMB (or prior Knight) printed STEN mags to work. Sorry!
This printed mag gets about 400rds before the feed lips begin to give way. The steel mags.... well if you run steel mags, this gun will probably last forever, even using PLA+.

PRINT SETTINGS
=========================================

This is a firearm. It shoots bullets and can kill things. Be an adult and use 100% infill, show the subject matter the respect it deserves and don't be impatient or cheap.

Slicer settings I used for all of my Knight-L prints:
- 8 walls
- 100% rectilinear infill
- 5mm outer brim (on smaller surface areas contacting the build plate)
- normal supports (i know, you love trees, try both if you'd like)

It should be noted that I built out an entire 3MF Bambu Studio project file for this and it has been included in the release.
The 3MF contains ALL necessary print settings that I used, correct orientations and custom support (locations only) for all models.

I used the Generic PLA filament profile for all of my testing and you probably should to if you want the results I got.

I printed all of the Knight-L parts on my Bambu Labs X1 Carbon printers - so if you're on a Bambu, you're good to go.
If you're not using a Bambu but you're at least using Bambu Studio or Orca slicer, you're probably still good to go with my 3MF still - just make adjustments for your machine obviously.
If you're doing your own thing, that's cool, I included a picture of the print orientations you'll want to use in the release folders.
