Orffyreus presents: the Sullivan Unspecified Compliance Kit 0.9 (S.U.C.K. 0.9)
Testing underway - will update with v1.0 once I finish making an instruction video demonstrating the efficacy of the unit.
This model is provided as PUBLIC DOMAIN: take it, use it, print it, give it away, remix it. The intent is to help residents of Colorado and other jurisdictions to comply with laws that forbid the sale, transfer, or purchase of semi-automatic firearms with a detachable magazine. This kit modifies AR-15 pattern firearms by permanently fixing a magazine to your lower receiver.
This model should be printed and tested by you. When you have it dialed in well, please print up a whole bunch and give them to your local gun shop, to ensure that they can keep their AR pattern firearms on the shelf, and not subject to the provisions of Colorado SB25-003 (https://leg.colorado.gov/bills/sb25-003). A semi-automatic firearm which has a fixed magazine holding 15 or fewer rounds is not a specified semi-automatic firearm.
INSTRUCTIONS
Print one of each part. Install the nut as you would install a regular magazine release button (do not install the spring, it is not needed). Then insert the cover piece til it clicks. The piece cannot be removed unless you destroy it, rendering the firearm incapable of attaching another magazine. Once you've validated that your prints fit, print a bunch and give them to your local shop.
