SM-25 Dedicated 3D Printed Smoke Grenade

Practical Tactical 848.1KiB Released December 8, 2025, 6:35 AM

The SM-25 Smoke grenade system improves upon the more universal design of the UC-25 system, focusing solely on a smoke-generation hand grenade. Some components, such as the UC-25 Fuse, the safety spoon, and striker/striker spring, pin, pull ring, and Striker-Block-Transport-Clip are shared between the two packs.

The most obvious differences between the UC-25 configured as a smoke grenade, and the SM-25 Dedicated Smoke grenade can be observed in the grenade body. The SM-25 dedicated smoke grenade features a fixed vented bottom portion with an increased number of ports/vent-holes, and instead fills from the top of the grenade vs. the bottom on the UC-25.

Additionally, the cap/lid of the SM-25 features an integrated protective fuse well that ensures that the smoke compound is ignited from the bottom of the grenade thus helping to prevent blow-out of the body due to excessive pressure due to ignition in the middle of the smoke compound payload.

Finally, the SM-25 grenade body is slightly taller and has a slightly higher capacity for payload.
