@KevCAD 52.2MiB Updated September 5, 2025, 10:51 PM Released July 30, 2025, 3:37 PM

These are beta, as-is files.
If you want to use these files for your own project, check the README.txt first for more info!

Testing timeline:

✅Function test with printed timer/lever - DONE
✅Live fire test with printed timer/lever - DONE
✅Mag dump with printed timer/lever - DONE
✅Live fire test with SCS timer/lever - DONE
✅Mag dump with SCS timer/lever - DONE

Changelog:

8/6/25
* Altered a lot of geometry and improved the cad files. It now passes a function test in my lower/upper. Specific changes in README.txt.

8/16/25
* Switched back to stop screw design (spring features are still in the cad).
* Reduced the rotation angle of the timer from 10.8deg to 9.5deg (which allows for a thicker rear finger) and changed associated geometry.
* Live fire tested plastic and steel internals. Can't get it to dump a whole mag yet, but I think it's because of the lever thickness. Hopefully next update will come with a mag dump video.

8/20/25
* Changed the timer thickness from .100" to .074".
* Redesigned the housing so it interferes less with the upper.
* Live fire tested with all plastic parts (except pins, screw, and nut), and got it to dump a whole mag!
* Mag dump video here: https://odysee.com/@KevCAD:4/KevCadFRTTest:d

9/5/25
* Extended the rear timer arm as far as possible to add material.
* Increased the hole-to-edge distance of the rear timer arm so that SCS will accept it. (This changes the geometry of all 3 parts).
* Changed language about one of the parts so that it won't be confused with a different mechanism.
* Added images for instructions.

9/10/25
* Live fire tested four units with stainless steel parts, and they all dumped a mag.
* I had to shave 1.25mm from the front timer arm for my mil-spec trigger.
* Pulling excessively hard or running without lubrication caused issues.

Features:

  • Compatible with Mil-Spec 3 position safeties.
  • SendCutSend internals.
  • Uses commonly available hardware (pins, screws, nuts, etc).
  • Lever stop screw to prevent over travel.
  • Shortened housing.
  • Fusion360 parametric (and parameterized) CAD files for this project and its references (see the README for more info).
