This project is a redesign of the KF5 lower receiver, The original design used A2 pistol grips, but this redesign converts it into a monolithic design, offering improved durability and a cleaner, more streamlined build. The redesign includes enhanced magwell walls, a reworked trigger guard, and two distinct styles, each with compatibility for both default and binary trigger groups.
Development Status
-
Alpha Phase: Completed
The alpha prototype has undergone successful testing focused on: -
durability, Print tolerance and assembly fit
Results confirm structural integrity under controlled testing conditions.
-
Current Phase: Public Beta Release
The project has entered public beta, opening access to the design files for broader community evaluation. The goal of this phase is to collect user feedback on: -
Printability across different printers and materials
- Long-term durability and wear resistance
- Ease of assembly and potential tolerance adjustments
- Overall performance consistency
It is planned re-implement this design on original/custom MP5 uppers in future
