Yeah, I know how that goes. A lot of older projects were done before the hobby expanded to include people with less gunsmithing experience, so they skipped over a lot. I'm still trying to figure out how to put together the safety block on my Taurus 709 parts kit.

Saturday I was in a gun store and the guy at the counter next to me was checking two weapons in for gunsmithing. One had a stuck case, and the anti-walk pins were loose because he didn't locktite the caps. His other weapon had a loose gas block because he didn't torque the screws on it.
