To follow up on the Glock baseplate is the insert piece to the mag itself. What's worse than gathering everything you need, only to have to wait on a part no one sees? Why not print it! Measured off a brank new 9mm magazine insert for best possible fitment.

Glock mags would need significantly more filing down which might cause structural integrity issues but sten mags are a hair thinner.
Now I wonder if beretta magazines or similar would fit perfectly.

Instead of the magwell inserts that convert AR15 lowers to AR9, I've been working on a direct mag insert to make glock mags insertable into a regular AR15 lower.

Agree. I don't think there would be any problem with strength, but it's better to not have the business end of a magazine exposed to the elements. Even a glock will malfunction when you use a dirty magazine to insert debris directly into the feed ramp and locking block.
