These pin blocks are meant to use cheap 1.25" 8-32 screws as AR15 Trigger and Hammer pins in 3d printed builds. The receiver walls of printed lowers that are externally the same dimensions as traditional receivers may experience wear due to pin rotation. They may also suffer from a tendency for the pins to walk out under recoil if a drop in trigger is used. Additionally, the force of the springs or tolerance issues like shrinkage may cause the pin spacing to widen and cause the disconnector to fail. This block aims to prevent all of these problems.
The hole in the bolt side is 5x5mm and should be measured to ensure the scale is correct. This plate can be used to repair a defective 3d printed lower as well as prevent these issues, as long as one of the holes is still in the correct location.
If your lower receiver is wider than a standard AR15 lower, but the surface is still flat and the plates fit, it can be installed using a longer 8/32 bolt.
Ideally you should use an 8/32 bolt that is longer than needed with a non-threaded portion and trim it to fit so that the trigger is not contacting threads, and the bolts and nuts should be provided with threadlock to prevent the bolts from rotating.
