Foregrip Mag Carrier by Qwerm
A picatinny mounted foregrip that holds a spare AR15 magazine. A copy of FAB Defense's MG-20. Included is an optional "Blocker" STL that can be used to change Cura's fuzzy skin settings for the finger grooves. Simply set each STL at the same coordinates, set the blocker mesh type to "Modify settings for overlaps" and set it to "Cutting Mesh", then select the settings you want to modify. I recommend printing the main body without fuzzy skin settings until Cura fixes their bug when applying fuzzy skin to larger prints. Fuzzy finger grooves and fuzzy paddle gives the device a nice appearance.
Print orientation:
Print ForegripMagCarrier-Body with the picatinny mount facing down.
Print ForegripMagCarrier-Paddle on it's side.
Settings Used:
Material: PLA+
Extruder Temp: 210c
Bed Temp: 60c
Layer Height: 0.20mm
Wall Line Count: 4-5
Infill Percentage: 50-100%
Support: Yes
Support Placement: Touching Buildplate
Fuzzy Skin: Disabled
I suggest blocking any supports above the top of the picatinny overhang.
Hardware required:
1x M5 30mm Socket Head Bolt
1x M5 Nut
1x 1/16" x 3/4" Roll Pin
1x Spring (Approx. 10mm wide and 20mm long)
Credit to FFFTech for the Picatinny template.
