Want your own sideways sights on a Glock? Here is the schematic I created to have mine made. Without this document, gunsmiths will likely not want to bother at is a rather risky operation, and unsafe. This is evidence that the cuts will still provide enough clearance for the sight without it interfering with the plunger or other components. This slide will likely not be safe for firing, and I can only attest to its dimensional accuracy when it comes to the Glock 19 Gen 3.
A standard Glock rear sight dovetail cutting tool can be used.
