M9 Bayonet Hilt (Extended Knife Handle) For 16" Barrel AR/M4

Do you have a civilian Colt M4 carbine 16" barrel with a bayonet lug and so then obviously want a sweet bayonet "for the memes"? If you answered YES, then this is probably for you!

I found the traditional M9 bayonet doesn't fit very nicely on the 16" barreled ARs, since they are made for the 14.5" barreled M4s. The M9 knife has the right size bayonet lug, but the bayonet ring side was much too short. The bayonet ring would rattle around on the barrel rather than sturdily sitting on the flash hider front end of the rifle. So here we've got some 3D printed extended handle options that will fit correctly, in the same manner as the M9 bayonet would on a shorter 14.5" barrel (see pics).

Used a cheap M9 bayonet from amazon (see readme doc).

Included STL options for printed M9 bayonet handle:
1. Standard look extended handle - 154mm long.
2. Pharaoh with no hieroglyphs handle - 154mm long.
3. Pharaoh with hieroglyphs handle - 154mm long.

Print settings used:
Filament type - PLA+
Layer height - 0.16mm
Wall loops - 4
Infill - 50% (grid pattern, but whatever you want)
No brim
Supports (for Pharaoh models only) - Tree (auto), On build plate only, threshold angle 13 Deg

The bayonet handle is literally held together with one screw at the bayonet lug connection. Just unscrew it and slide off the original handle. Since the new handle is longer in length you'll need a new longer cap head screw to connect the end again. It looks like the cap head screw size I used was M6x55mm long (see zipped images).

Be careful & enjoy!
