Ruger-Brass-Catcher

AusGov Gun Facts 143.0KiB Feb. 1, 2024, 5 a.m.

No tags

A 3DP brass catcher (with inspection hole) for a Ruger Mark II/III (maybe more).

Suggested Filament: Any PLA
Instructions: Print sideways, with tree supports, touching the buildplate

The inspection hole was requested, but if anyone wants a second version without it (either filled in completely or a 'grate', let me know.

It's got two little 'nubs' to maintain alignment with the ejection port and has been tested with two full (10rd) magazines, no jams, just holding the empty brass.

Legal Note:
Please note that live everything else fun on Prison Island (Australia), a Brass Catcher is a prohibited weapon under the NSW Weapons Prohibition Act 1998 No. 127, Schedule 1(4)(5):

"Any article or device, such as a device known as a brass catcher, that is designed to be attached to a firearm for the purposes of catching ejected cartridge cases when the firearm is being fired."

So if you actually still live on Prison Island, it's probably not a good idea for you to download or print this, but it'd be fun while it lasts.
