For those who live in countries with restrictions on the sale or possession of buckshot cartridges, buckshot or corresponding molds, here is a little project that I’ve been working on.
This was a fun project, where I learned a lot about eutectic mixtures, fusible alloys, sand-casting, investment casting, as well as primary, negative and working molds.
Anyone interested in picking this up will have three different options available to them in order to produce 00 buckshot for reloading purposes.
By the way, did any of you know that there are reasonably dense alloys that melt at temperatures low enough to be cast into a 3D printed nylon mold? Or even a PLA one?
