The Mini MK23 (MocK 23) is one of a series of these barrel extenders to come. This extension allows the end user to create any one of several available 3d printable pistols that utilize a 5/16" external diameter 22lr barrel liner and have additional barrel length to insert metal spacers for UFA compliance. In order to be UFA compliant the resulting firearm must have 3.7oz minimum of ferrous metal and many small printable firearms need to be assembled with a metal weight as part of the frame.
This extension is based cosmetically on the Knights Armament Company suppressor for the MK23. Many KAC products are dimpled for rigidity or weight savings and it is appealing cosmetically.
The extension is not made for any particular printed firearm and is 'generic' in the sense that it will fit any firearm that uses the barrel liner specified.
To make this work, leave the barrel liner an additional 2.5" beyond the end of the firearms original barrel. Glue the rear cap in place, and insert 3 of the 0.75" OD, 0.75" length, 3/8" ID spacers into the main body, then epoxy this over the remaining barrel. It is now as permanent as any other part of the firearm. Steel bbs or other scrap or alternative filler can be used so long as they are ferrous, and weight of any glue or the extension itself is not included in measurements.
This part is not intended to be used as a suppressor and this part does not have threads or provisions making it possible to remove once installed.
