there are 1911 kits around 200 on egp. but those look to be unramped 45s.

for 9mm, ~300, for everything(complete 1911 9mm rampd kit + 2011 parts). seems to be the best deal right now.

Not really trying so much as already done. 1911 parts are cheap, and the hardest parts of fitting them can be avoided by using an AR15 fire control group. The basic frame the accommodate that can be configured as a handgun, rifle, carbine, braced pistol, whatever you'd like.

I think your sol if you want a complete upper short of getting gouged on gunbroker for an oem one. I bought a slide from spinta precision and a threaded barrel from silencerco. Even that took several months of waiting for in stock notices. It’s just a super niche market no one really services
