this build requires a bear creek arsenal side charging .22 magnum or 17 hmr upper to work. I use a 17 hmr 7.5" bbl and it only cycles reliably unsupressed with 20 grain bullets.
the magazine requires a 12" ar 22 magazine spring from black dog machine. 11" springs work but have less force.
the trigger mechanism requires cutting and drilling/tapping a milspec ar trigger. I recommend a stainless steel one because i think it would be easier to drill and tap than tempered high carbon steel of a standard one. a jig for drilling the .1200" hole is included in the files. a 6-32 3/8" socket head screw with the head on the right side of the trigger for the pusher bar to interact with it.
the pusher bar uses an ar buffer retainer spring to reset itself.
a roughly 3/8" or less spring goes under the front of the trigger to push the front end up, it must be trimmed to length.
mag release is unmodified USGI.
the screw that holds in the selector detent and spring is a 1" 10-32 socket head screw.
requires a standard length carbine or pistol buffer tube.
1" 8-32 socket head screw and square nut to index the buffer tube (no castle nut)
the trigger guard is held in place with a 1/2" 6-32 socket head screw
2x 1.5" 1/4" od screw posts for mounting the upper to the lower
