Don't dry-fire a rimfire gun, use a snap-cap. If you don't have one, print one of these. Unless you print ABS, I doubt it will hold up for long, but it handy to have a few of these laying around and they don't take long to print (~10 minutes).
I recommend using a brim or raft when printed, cause it's rather small.
