Suppressed SF5k
By The Shittinator
Overview
A super-safe, suppressed rollergun. Doesn't get much cozier than that.
Build
The heart of the build is an SF5 with an MP5k chime kit from MAF (coughcough use code INDEX cough). The lower is a slick, monolithic lower from someone who delisted it prior to me setting up the Index, so unfortunately I can't even point to an archived entry. Some light dremel work on that lower lets it pivot open at the front screw once you remove the self-captivating pin at the rear -- almost a hard requirement for a SS build if you want to clear jams effectively.
Suppressor is a Dead Air Wolfman. It'll get an FTN in time.
Inside the gun, there's a combo of the MP5 Slip Trip by s3igu2 and the Hoffman Tactical Super Safety. That plus the default locking piece (100deg?) means an incredible cyclic rate. It's rough on parts, but it's very fun. It's otherwise just a stock AR trigger group with some random PSA anti-walk kit.
Accessories include the Square Rail Stock in a brace configuration. I have an SBR tag from CultLaser that I'm gonna stuff on a fresh upper, which'll get a stock instead. The Summer Sausage grip is just a handstop -- you can't get a good grip on it from how close it is to the magwell. Sight's an HS510c, backup "irons" are Laffs' PDW sights.
Printer and Materials
Done in Polymaker PA6-CF (from before they rebranded to Fiberon) on an X1C. Hot and slow. Couple artifacts, but not much.
Cuts of steel for the square rail stock from SCS.
Trivia
This build is the whole reason I created GunCAD Index. Finding accessories compatible with this thing was fucking godawful.
