A hybrid firearm is a firearm that requires no off-the-shelf gun parts but is not entirely 3D-printed. Manufacture of extra components, such as metal bolts, ECM barrels, etc. will be required. Guns that only require off-the-shelf fasteners and springs are not considered hybrid.
Guns that have a 100%-DIY option but can optionally take off-the-shelf gun parts (like how the FGC can take an AR trigger group or the Urutau an AR-9 barrel) are still hybrids.
