Update 7/2/26: Added a new version of the trip that will allow more space between the lever and the bolt when all the way back. I would recommend people try the (New) trip, but the old one is still provided, just in case. I have also added a version of the trip with an overtravel stop for the forward momentum. This is more experimental, but has also been added in the additional parts folder. I have also placed the non-necessary parts into a separate folder to hopefully make it more straightforward. As mentioned, changes are still being made. This release is mainly for those with printers who want to try it out, a more final version will likely be around in a week or so. Almost all sizing falls between -2 and +2, so if you are having it made by someone else i would have them make those sizes at the very least. Thanks for the feedback so far, happy to keep improving it.

This is a drop in Kabuto style FRT for the factory Springfield Kuna lower. It's intended to be used with the factory trigger (possibly the Black Talon, never tested it) factory buffer and can work with either the stock or upgraded HBI spring. This is the simplest and most straightforward 3 position FRT for the Kuna and will give you the full experience for around $1 of filament.

Still working on putting the final touches the drop in, and was able to greatly improve how the trip and lever interact from the versions I've already been having good results with. I now feel comfortable allowing others to get it out on the range and test it out. There will likely be an update in a week or so putting the final touches on this so keep an eye out but for those wanting something to take to the range it's definitely ready for that.

Happy to finally get my V2 version of my drop-in released. This is a new addition to my original and incorporates kabuto's t u r d or the regular Kabuto design that I've used previously with my U-DIS. I had originally intended to make a Kabuto housing for the Nexus lower but changed my mind after seeing how customer issues have been handled so decided it was worth swapping it out for the RAD I was previously using and seeing how it performs. This design works much better with the three position safety since the previous RAD design required the lever to be all the way forward in order for the activator to lift while this design will snap the lever forward once it's made the majority of its travel which allows semi to function much more smoothly. This design is also easier for people to print out. It doesn't require as tight of tolerances as before.

This release includes a semi-auto three position safety that will work with or without the drop in installed. With the dropping installed this gives you your expected three position capabilities. This is not a full auto safety and simply interacts with the housing of the drop in. Nothing included interacts with the disconnector. I discovered it was possible to get semi out of the drop in by lifting the housing after my previous update of the old design. I was running into an issue where I noticed the housing lifting slightly could cause the gun not to force the reset under a hard trigger pull. I then was able to expand on this by manipulating the shape of the safety to allow for this to happen on purpose completely negating the reset function of the drop in.

Hope you guys who have been waiting for this will give it a shot and share your feedback.

Not for commercial use and no remixes sorry. Unfortunately people just use remixes as an excuse to try to make it just different enough to then sell it.

Please keep an eye out for further improvements and updates to this design. If you happen to have a light strike, which you shouldn't, please use the -1 trip, as that will reduce the timing. I haven't had this problem, but added it just in case.
