CP33 CMR30 PMR30 FRT ALPHA - NOT WORKING
I have reached out to multiple companies (including the one that has commercialized) to collaborate but have not been met with anything that results in interested collaboration.
This project has been in the works for a very long time and has fallen to the backburner. Now that someone else has video of what seems to be a semi-reliable commercial option, I’m hoping to put this out into the open source ether in order to get some help, beyond what I’ve already reached out for, to get running. If you get this made, please share your experience via email, IG, Reddit or whatever to help me get this running.
It may even work with the PMR30 and CMR30 since they use the same disconnector and have stronger recoil springs.
I’ve had minor success with this design but only able to get a couple rounds off with the lightest feathering of the trigger. My next step was to see if putting a spring behind the trigger would assist in resetting the trigger without binding the bolt, but that's where I’ve left off. I’ve handed off some of the dev work to another dev that hasn’t provided anything back so I’ve been stuck on the backburner with no progress.
The way this product works is when fired, the bar is pulled forward and the bolt moving rearward pushes the trigger bar down. I keep having issues with the bolt not able to overcome the friction of the trigger bar and binding up.
Please help me be able to offer this as a product.
Caution: this is pre alpha and while I’ve tested this without issue, you may have a different experience. Use extreme caution while testing or modifying this file/project. This project CANNOT be printed. There’s no filament I’ve found that survives the reset for more than a round.
