Airsoft M203 to DIY 37mm M203
Hello, this is a project that converts an airsoft M203 into a fully functional 37mm launcher replicating
the real M203 mechanisms. The original purpose of this project was to make a DIY M203, as well as
“reverse engineer” M203 parts to something that could be made from a SCS service or printed by
anyone. This has been in the works since ~2020 but stayed in an stalled state for many years. I am
releasing this in hopes that this helps other M203 enthusiasts. If enough interest is shown, I might
continue the project.
As the project is not complete, there will be some information gaps the builder has to fill. Check out the
whole guide and decide if it’s something you’d like to before purchasing anything. Most purchased
hardware can be substituted with other hardware; the listed hardware is only what I used at the time.
The launcher does not include a stock, but the airsoft launcher does include m16 and a picatinny
adapter to mount under any rail or m16 style rifle.

A big fat signaling flare caliber.
Devices that file signaling flares are classified by the ATF as launchers, not DDs or guns.
NOTE, however that the MOMENT you load one up with anti-personnel anything, they're gonna nail your ass to the floor foor having a DD. They don't fuck around.
Flare guns, more or less. Fireworks are also signals. Common calibers include 37mm and 26.5mm
Note that this is a classification based on purpose and purpose alone. If you put a grenade in your 37mm launcher, it's a DD now.
